Mexican couple in Andalusia

Another wonderful occasion accompanying a Mexican couple on their romantic journey through southern Spain. A perfect setting and perfect weather to mingle with the locals in the flamenco tablaos and the legendary Andalusian taverns. We ended in Madrid, shopping for the whole year

Day 1. March 28, 2024. Madrid.

We picked our clients at the airport and took them to the accommodation in the city center to leave the luggage. After a rest, we began with a beautiful and comfortable panoramic tour of Madrid from our private vehicle so that Pamela could get to know the main monuments and get a general idea of the city: Fuente de Cibeles, Jardines del Retiro, Puerta de Alcalá, Paseo del Prado, etc. Afterwards, we took a walk through some relevant areas of the historic center, such as Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, ending the day by experiencing the famous Madrid tapas bars.

Day 2. March 29, 2024. Madrid.

After a well-deserved rest and a good breakfast at the hotel, we spent the morning exploring the city with the eyes of a potential real estate buyer. We devised a tour of the main areas of interest and organized visits to several investment examples to define the search parameters. In the afternoon, we truly got to know Madrid, starting with the main monuments and streets (Plaza de Oriente, Gran Vía, Paseo del Prado, etc.), and continuing with the Madrid of the Austrias and the super multicultural neighborhoods of La Latina, Lavapiés, Chueca, and Malasaña, with their national and international cuisine restaurants, hidden small craft and fashion shops, lively squares, and bustling markets of natural products from around the world.

Day 3. March 30, 2024. Madrid – Toledo – Madrid.

After breakfast, we started the day by heading to Toledo, the former Spanish capital and a UNESCO World Heritage city, which took us back in time. We explored its medieval historic center and got lost in its winding streets, Cathedral, Synagogues, etc. In the afternoon, we returned to Madrid in time to stroll along Madrid’s golden mile with the world’s best boutiques and also the most commercial areas of Fuencarral for the most modern and youthful brands. That night, we recommended one of the best romantic restaurants in the city to end the day in style.

Day 4. March 31, 2024. Madrid – Segovia – El Escorial – Madrid.

This day, we visited Segovia and other interesting cities near Madrid. All the options were excellent and wherever we went, the gastronomy was even better! In the late afternoon and evening, the last night in the capital, we enjoyed a quiet drink in an elegant city cocktail bar.

Day 5. April 1. Madrid – Córdoba – Seville.

We began our journey southward heading to Córdoba. Upon arrival, we deeply explored its medieval old town, discovered its historic Jewish quarter, and its blooming traditional patios, where we visited the legendary Mosque/Cathedral of Córdoba, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We spent the rest of the day following in the footsteps of great philosophers like Maimonides and Avicenna, who once made this city a great center of knowledge. We arrived in Seville at night for a central walk, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 6. April 2. Seville.

After a panoramic tour of the Andalusian capital where we saw the Giralda, Maria Luisa Park, Plaza de España, Torre del Oro, etc., we took a boat ride on the Guadalquivir, the backbone of the region. In the afternoon, we explored the very folkloric neighborhood of Triana, its atmosphere, its joy, and its “juerga” and also visited certain city landmarks such as the Cathedral and the Alcázar, the main local monuments. At night, we got lost in typical neighborhoods like Santa Cruz, with its intricate labyrinthine alleys and small taverns, and even ended the day enjoying a show in a Flamenco Tablao.

Day 7. April 3. Seville – Málaga.

Early in the day, we headed to Marbella, a meeting point for the aristocracy and elites of the country. It is an important spot for major fashion brands and, in recent times, a major gastronomic center in Spain with its countless great Michelin-starred restaurants. We also visited Puerto Banús, on the Mediterranean coast, where we saw its very important marina and admired the most luxurious yachts in the Mediterranean. We continued to Málaga, where we spent the night in the most fashionable city in southern Europe.

Day 8. April 4. Málaga.

We discovered in depth the magnificent cultural and gastronomic offerings of the most vibrant city in Spain today. At the Picasso Museum, the Pompidou Center, and the Carmen Thyssen Museum, we discovered the most recognized European pictorial avant-gardes and combined it with the pedestrian streets of the center, its parks, and its squares. We didn’t miss the opportunity to taste its seafood products at any of the restaurants in the renovated Muelle 1. We ended the day immersing ourselves in Málaga’s very fun nightlife, with unlimited options!

Day 9. April 5. Granada.

We started the day heading to Granada where we had the chance to make a first contact by getting lost with our guide through its streets and picturesque neighborhoods and we tried (depending on schedules and availability) to visit the majestic Alhambra, the most important and beautiful palace of the Arab world, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the Wonders of the World. Although we had reserved a table for our clients at one of the best restaurants in Granada, they were so enthusiastic about the trip that they asked for something even more special. We managed to arrange for them to have dinner on a private terrace with exclusive views of the Alhambra. We closed the night with some of the most authentic musical recommendations in the south!

Day 10. April 6. Granada.

We spent the morning exploring the iconic Albaicín neighborhood, got lost in its viewpoints and tea houses, and immersed ourselves in the typical local atmosphere with memories of the Arab world and mingled with the cheerful locals. We also visited the Cathedral, the tomb of the Catholic Monarchs, and many other interesting attractions that this wonderful city offers. Of course, we ended the day with tapas in the city’s center bars!

Day 11. April 7. Madrid.

Today we headed back to Madrid and to the airport where we ended our trip through Spain.

SAFE RETURN AND SEE YOU NEXT TIME!
